While the peer pressure of having to do drugs has always been something that teens have had to deal with throughout the years, the different types of drugs each person is faced with depends upon which is more popular at the time. These types of drugs are typically more dangerous due to the fact that they are synthetically manufactured, thus making them more dangerous because the compound base which provides the psychoactive effects the addict are oftentimes unpredictable.
Currently, some of the most popular drugs being used by teens today include:
- Ketamine (Special K, Kit Kat)
- MDMA (Ecstasy, Molly)
- Methamphetamine (Glass, Ice, Crystal)
- Synthetic Cannabinoids (K2, Spice)
Perhaps one of the most popular drugs among teens today is “Molly.” Most commonly known as a party drug, it is produced in either powdered form or multi-colored pills. Many teens take “Molly” at music festivals in order to heighten the party experience and to experience an adrenaline rush that lasts for several hours.
